In times such as these I expected to see
Some backbone but I'm not impressed
Our icons of life and heroes have died
They cower in fear like the rest
Where are the bold men and heroes of old
With the courage to stand and defy
There is no more rebellion in rock 'n roll
There is no one who wants to be free
You go out of your way to bow down and obey
Like cattle and sheep play the role
There is no fire left in rock 'n roll
Duped and betrayed by the gods of this age
You hurt yourself by broken reeds
Will you break from the fold
Or do what you're told
Yeah, who now is weak and naive
If you're live and awake
With a half-working brain
Maybe use it and quit being a slave
There is no more rebellion in rock 'n roll
There is no one who wants to be free
You go out of your way to bow down and obey
Like cattle and sheep play the role
There is no more rebellion in rock 'n roll
There is no one who wants to believe
But the faithful remain
We will not fade away
From the ashes will rise a new day
Will you answer the call to fight and pray
Is there no one who wants to be free
Is there no one who wants to believe
Standing firm on the rock and foundation of faith
We will not be alarmed or dismayed
There is no more rebellion in rock 'n roll
There is no one who wants to believe
You go out of your way to bow down and obey
Like cattle and sheep play the role
There is no more rebellion in rock 'n roll
Is there no one who wants to believe
But the righteous remain
We will not fade away
True rebels will always prevail
True rebels are people of the faith
People of the faith will always prevail

Out of the wreckage brought upon by dual personal tragedies comes an outstanding album that is sorrowful and victorious. Once you listen to this a few times, it’s hard to want to listen to anything else for a while. This is my front runner for metal album of 2021, and perhaps even my overall AOTY. Metal Marc

I picked this up a few years ago, at a time when I really needed an album like this. To this day it is still something that I love to play beginning to end and feel every second of it.
Such a amazing expression of humbling yourself lyricwise mixed with the most unique style of Black Gaze I've ever heard. billyspears
